Sirens sounded in the Eshkol Regional Council throughout the night. As of 5:15 AM, 17 rockets were launched from Gaza at Israel. "Iron Dome" weapon system combatants intercepted 3 of them.

"The forces operated determinately and bravely, and the extraction was an act of bravery", said Brig. Gen. Manelis. "The special operation was not intended to kill or abduct terrorists. We are prepared for a wide range of scenarios. I suggest that the IDF's preparedness not be tested – it is very high".
