IDF Aid Mission to Mexico City Release date 20.09.2017
This afternoon (Wednesday), a combined IAF & Home Front Command aid mission will take off in a “Re’em” (Boeing 707) for Mexico City, which has been devastated by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake

At 15:00 today (Wednesday), an IDF humanitarian aid mission will take off for Mexico City, which has been devastated by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake. A “Re’em” (Boeing 707) from the “Desert Giants” Squadron, which will take off from Nevatim AFB and fly about 50 Home Front Command service members, including 25 building engineers and expert medical crews. The 18 hour flight will include a refueling stop in Portugal. About 20 aircrew and auxiliary aircrew members will take part in flying the aircraft to its destination. The delegation will return until Yom Kippur and has been approved by the Chief Military Rabbi.
