The water war Release date 13.01.1964

The first Arab summit meeting votes in favor of diverting the water from the sources of the River Jordan (the Hatzbani River in Lebanon and the Banias River in Syria), in order to deprive Israel of the Jordan's water. The work on this project began, and dozens of hostile exchanges between the IDF and the Syrian Army ensued. The Water Crisis was only resolved three and a half years later, in the Six Day War, when Israel captured the Golan Heights, including the canal that was being prepared for diverting the water.
